Hennessey begins production of the VelociRaptoR 1000

Hennessey has begun production of the VelociRaptorR 1000 super-truck - which boasts over 40% more power compared to the Ford F-150 Raptor base.
Quite a lot of heavylifting has been done to create the VelociRaptorR 1000, and by Hennessey's account, the list almost feels endless.
To achieve the leap in performance, the firm's engineers have fitted the Ford F-150 Raptor's engine with an upgraded 3.8-litre supercharger, given it high-flow air induction, billet fuel rails, a heavy duty supercharger belt, upgraded fuel lines, and also an air/oil separator system. All of this is piled atop of Hennessey's own engine management calibration system.
The sum of these improvements? The VelociRaptoR is capable of a stonking 1,043bhp, allowing it to reach a speed of 96km/h from rest in a mere 3.1 seconds.
The supertruck has gotten a thorough cosmetic upgrade to match its extra performance too. The VelociRaptoR is fitted with a three-inch lift with front/rear suspension levelling kit, VelociRaptor bumpers, Hennessey wheels and off-road tyres, power fold-out steps, and finally, VelociRaptoR 1000 badging.
On top of the regular VelociRaptoR 1000 upgrades, owners are also able to opt for a performance brake kit, which features six-piston Brembo brakes.
Hennessey is quick to note that the truck underwent a rigorous research and development program even before its series of dyno and road tests.
Now that it has entered production, the VelociRaptoR 1000's rarity and exclusivity are further enhanced by the fact that Hennessey only plans to produce 500 of the vehicles - all of which it expects to sell out quickly. Since the first modified F-160 Raptor in 2009, Hennessey has built thousands of VelociRaptor models, making it the world's best selling modified performance truck.
